British Judo is delighted to announce that a draw to determine the winner of the Your Sport Needs You competition will be held on 31st March. The winning club will be awarded a trip for two to Japan.

In December 2014 we launched the competition giving member clubs in England the chance to win a trip Japan, the home of judo. Any clubs who increased their membership by two or more between 5th December 2014 and 20th February 2015 have automatically been entered into the draw.

A total of 137 judo clubs who have collectively grown their membership by 692, have been entered into the draw.

British Judo Chairman, Kerrith Brown, will be drawing the winner of the competition at the British Judo Centre of Excellence, Walsall later this month. We will also be announcing details of other prizes for all clubs that entered on the 31st March. Speaking ahead of the draw Kerrith Brown said; “I am really excited to be involved in giving this opportunity to one of our clubs. As chairman of British Judo, I am thrilled that so many clubs have grown their membership since this competition was launched.

“It gives me great pleasure to reward one of our clubs by sending them to Japan for this incredible trip. Having trained in Japan myself I know at firsthand what a fantastic place it is and how much our judoka will enjoy the experience of training at the Kodokan.”
