The England Judo Talent Pathway are on the look out for exceptional clubs, coaches, people and facilities to support the ongoing success of the programme by applying to become an England Talent Development Centre.

England Judo provides a pathway of opportunity for young judo fighters to progress their skills to achieve Commonwealth, Olympic and Paralympic Medals. This is achieved through regional & national training camps, national competition, international competition and international training camps.

In summary, the England Talent Pathway aims to provide the GB Judo Olympic & Paralympic Programmes with an overflow of talent.

From British Judo’s recent work, it is recognised that quality randori is extremely important in a fighter’s development. The opportunity to fight quality opponents often, means that the technical training they do with their coach can be put under pressure and improved at a faster rate and to a higher standard.

With this in mind, England Judo wants to continue to support its England Talent Development Centres (ETDCs) to provide high quality, local randori opportunities for fighters on both the Regional England Development Squads (REDS)and England Talent Development Squad (ETD), cadet through to junior.

England Judo wishes to financially support weekly regional randori sessions for pre-cadet, cadet and junior athletes. Fighters will be required to attend as part of their England Squad Agreement.

To deliver these sessions England Judo are looking for clubs that can provide:

Facilities Minimum Mat area of 120 square meters (Ability to get at least 30 fighters on the mat) Changing Rooms & Toilets Outdoor training space First Aid facility Parking access/local transport links Area for parents to wait/watch	Session Delivery Quarterly weekend randori session. At least 1 x 2-hour session per week that is a requirement for all local ETD/REDS fighters to attend (Pre-Cadet, Cadet & Junior). All ETDCs will be expected to deliver the same technical/tactical & Physical modules in line with the England Talent Pathway sessions.
People Lead coach with Level 3 qualification Multiple coaches with the ability to travel locally if required. Child Welfare Officer and relevant safeguarding policies / procedures for working with under 18s.	Development & Support Attend England Coaching Seminar Attendance of REDS or ETD Camps from coaches where possible Reporting of attendance and registers. Coach availability to travel with England Programme if required

ETDCs will be reviewed on an annual basis with England Judo holding the right to remove or award the status to clubs at any time. This review will look to ensure that clubs still meet the requirements set out in this tender document.
