Strong performances from Great Britain’s young judoka at the British Championships for Pre-Cadets and Cadets

Great Britain’s young judoka travelled from across the UK to battle on the mat in Sheffield this weekend (6-7th December) to win the prestigious title of British Champion, producing some excellent judo in their pursuit of gold.

The British Championships, taking place at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, saw the Cadets and Pre-Cadets take to the mat this weekend before the Juniors and Seniors compete next weekend (13-14th December).

The competition began on Saturday with the Cadet boys fighting it out for a places in the finals, with the Pre-Cadet Girls taking to the mat in the afternoon and Cadet Girls and Pre Cadet Boys competiting today. Some fantastic judo was on display throughout the championships, with plenty of hard fought contests for the Sheffield crowd to enjoy.

Congratulations to all our medallists this weekend.
