The British Judo domestic calendar ended in style as we were treated to another fantastic weekend of judo action at the 2023 Junior and Senior British Championships at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

The Seniors were in action on the final day as we crowned 14-national champions.

Dylan Munro won his first national title in what was the first of three national titles for Edinburgh Judo Club. Munro was joined on the podium by teammates Scott Cusack, who claimed -81kg gold, defeating pre-event favourite Lachlan Moorhead (Penistone JC) by a single waza-ari score, and Sarah Adlington, who claimed her 7^th national title as she took gold in the +78kg category.

Camberley JC also picked up three titles as Summer Shaw defended her -48kg title as she added Senior gold to the Junior gold she claimed yesterday.

Katie Mills won her second national title of the weekend as she took gold in the -63kg category whilst Simone Cross also took gold in the -70kg category as she successfully defended her title.

Garioch JC celebrated two gold medals from the same family as the McWatt brothers secured -90kg and +100kg golds. Stuart took -90kg gold whilst Andrew claimed +100kg gold.

Staying in Scotland, Neil MacDonald (Judo Scotland) won his second national title in as many years as he added the -66kg title to the -60kg title he won in 2022.

Eric Ham (Glossop JC) secured the -73kg title defeating Ethan Nairne (Bradley Stoke) by a single waza-ari score.

Harry Lovell-Hewitt (Stroud JC) overcame European U23 Championship silver medallist Oliver Barratt to claim the -100kg gold.

Caitlin Barber (Middlesbrough) stepped up to the -52kg category to great effect as she took the title. Barber defeated former World Veteran Champion Fiona Chan (Camberley), who was competing in the final at the age of 49.

Lele Nairne (Bradley Stoke) won her first senior national title as she took gold in the -57kg category whilst Emma Reid (Redbridge JC) claimed her third national title as she reclaimed the -78kg title she won in 2021.
