Scottish couple George and Janice Graham win BBC Sport Unsung Hero Award

Congratulations to George and Janice Graham who have won the BBC Sport Unsung Hero award for their services to Judo in Scotland.

George and Janice have run the Kyushinkwai judo club in Sighthill, Edinburgh, for over 30 years with countless judo players passing through their doors.

Not only do they run the club but they are also few of the main coaches for disability judo taking players to competitions and dedicating endless hours of their time for free.

George and Janice are both qualified in nearly all judo volunteering opportunities such as table official, senior recorder and Janice is also senior examiner – it is hard not to find George and Janice at a JudoScotland event.

This award was presented by Euan Burton and Amy Childs on behalf of the BBC.

The whole event will be televised on 14 December 2014 on the BBC Sports Personality Awards.
