Sami Smithson will be leaving the British Judo Association where she held the position as Head of Inclusion, Wellbeing and Safeguarding for the last 2 years, beginning the role on a part-time basis and moving into her next challenge as Chairperson of Accrington Stanley Women’s Football Club.
During her tenure Sami was heavily involved in all areas of inclusion, wellbeing and safeguarding and was instrumental in creating the Female Fighters Festival that was recently organised by the British Judo Association.
