Promotion for Maslen in Graz

British Judo is pleased to report that referee Natasha Maslen has been successful in passing her Continental Referee / IJF B examination, joining a select group of internationally active British IJF referees.

Natasha was promoted following a theory and practical examination conducted over three days by representatives from the European Judo Union and International Judo Federation at the Graz Junior European Cup this past weekend in Austria. She was presented with the prestigious ‘blue badge’ by EJU Head Referee Commissioner Mr. Franc Ocko.
Natasha’s promotion strengthens our refereeing team in Great Britain and makes Natasha the first Western Area female International Referee, which in itself is a huge milestone and also a recognition for her commitment to Judo and refereeing.
Speaking after her promotion, Natasha said: “Thank you to my family, friends, and the entire judo community for supporting me throughout my journey towards achieving my International Judo Federation continental refereeing award but also trusting and believing in me throughout my entire refereeing career.
“I am looking forward to what the future may bring and to continue my refereeing journey.”
Congratulations Natasha from all at British Judo on your promotion.
