NOTICE TO MEMBERS: ROYAL MAIL INDUSTRIAL ACTION
Royal Mail workers are set to strike on multiple days across the months of October, November and December.
It is expected that the strike action will cause some disruption, with possible delays to all British Judo postal items, including receiving and distribution of membership cards, certificates and record books. Items posted the day before, during or in the days after any strike action will be subject to delay. On days when strike action is taking place, Royal Mail will not be delivering letters however, Special Delivery and Tracked24 parcels will be prioritised.
The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take further national strike action on the following dates:
- Thursday 13th October 2022
- Thursday 20th October 2022
- Tuesday 25th October 2022
- Monday 28th November 2022
Further dates have also been announced by the CWU for functional strike action which impacts parts of Royal Mail’s operations on the following dates:
- Wednesday 2nd November 2022
- Thursday 3rd November 2022
- Friday 4th November 2022
- Tuesday 8th November 2022
- Wednesday 9th November 2022
- Thursday 10th November 2022
- Monday 14th November 2022
- Tuesday 15th November 2022
- Wednesday 16th November 2022
- Wednesday 23rd November 2022
- Thursday 24th November 2022
- Friday 25th November 2022
- Wednesday 30th November 2022
- Thursday 1st December 2022
- Friday 2nd December 2022

Post offices and post boxes will be open and offering the usual range of services on days when strike action is taking place. It should be noted that collections from post boxes will be limited on day/s of industrial action and delay to items should be expected.
