Next destination: Budapest Grand Prix

The road to the 2016 Olympic Games continues this weekend with another Grand Prix, this time in Budapest, Hungary. The total number of entries almost reached 450 which of 16 will be from Great Britain. The high amount of entires spread across 70 countries. 

The tournament will take place at the Papp Laszlo Arena during the weekend with seven weight class on show each day. Amongst the British team, Ashley McKenzie will strive for gold in the u60kg category, whilst his team mate, Nathon Burns will be back in action after a successful entry to his Grand Prix tour few weeks ago in Zagreb, where he narrowly missed out on taking bronze. Burns will be in action tomorrow in the u66kg category and will be facing Erchaogetu Amu (CHN) as his first contest. In the same weight category, Lewis Keeble will be up against Kevin Loforte (MOZ) in the first round. 
 
Kimberley Renicks will have to wait for the winner of Kondratyeva (RUS) vs Sanchez (DOM) before stepping on the mat in the u48kg category. A weight above, Kelly Edwards will start the battle against world bronze medalist (2013), Mareen Kraeh (GER).
