National Referees Commission and BJA Progressive Events Commission Recruitment

The BJA National Referees Commission (NRC) and BJA Progressive Events Commission (formerly NCTOC) are seeking applications from BJA members for the following positions:

  • Chairperson of NRC
  • Commission member of NRC
  • Chairperson of PEC
  • Commission member of PEC

The main aim of the NRC is to assist in the development and implementation of Referee’s education and related programmes aligned with initiatives outlined in the BJA Strategic Plan 2022 to 2025 and detailed in related delivery plans.

The Chair will provide leadership to the NRC, working closely with the Executive Officer, and Commission Members. The Commission Members provide insight from their knowledge and experience as a BJA referee.

These two new members will join: Executive Officer- Keith Merrick, Commission Members Archi Shrimpton, Carol Leverton and James McBeath, and BJA Events Team Observer Natasha Maslen.

The main aim of the PEC is to assist in the development and implementation of the Competitions and Events Programme and Technical Officials education as well as initiatives outlined in the Strategic Plan and detailed in related delivery plans.

The Chair will provide leadership to the PEC, working closely with the Executive Officer, and Commission Members. The Commission Members provide insight from their knowledge and experience as BJA technical officials and competition organisers.

These two new members will join: Executive Officer- Keith Merrick, Commission Members Tom Hughes, Paul Sexton, Andy Scott, Susan Wright and Avril Taggart, and BJA Events Team Observer Jessica Hastings.
