On day three at the IJF World Championships, Lachlan Moorhead was the sole GB Judo competitor in action as he took to the tatami in the -81kg category.

In the opening round, Moorhead overcame Alain Aprahamian (URU), registering an ippon score via a ko-soto-gake in the first real attack of the contest.

In round two, Moorhead faced the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam champion David Karapetyan (AIN) but was countered twice for two waza-ari scores.
