MEMBERSHIP DOJO UPDATE: GRADINGS
As the development of the British Judo membership dojo continues, the Association is pleased to share an update regarding member gradings.
Whilst the gradings facility has been unavailable during the dojo transition, we understand many clubs have continued to grade their members and are eager to submit those gradings for approval. Progressive work with our membership dojo now means that gradings can be submitted.
To deliver a seamless user experience for all, the management of gradings will see a three-phase implementation approach.
Starting with our memberships team, gradings will be processed manually by the team before being rolled out to a select number of clubs to trial in the coming weeks. Following this trial period, the gradings feature will then be implemented for all club coaches and officials to manage their gradings directly.
For now, gradings will need to be completed and submitted electronically using the gradings sheet below in full. Completed gradings sheets should then be emailed to thedojo@britishjudo.org.uk.
British Judo Grading Sheet – Download
- Once a grading sheet has been submitted, our memberships team will be in touch to arrange payment.
- Submitted grading will remain as a pending status whilst the payment is being retrieved.
- Cheques in the post will still be accepted however, the processing time for these gradings may take longer.
There is expected to be a huge number of gradings process which therefore take some time to complete. We kindly ask members and coaches to be patient and not contact the membership team whilst gradings are being processed.
Dan Grades will continue to be processed as usual. For all Dan Grade queries, please contact Sarah Walker (NDGA) – sarah.walker@britishjudo.org.uk
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE
- Incomplete grading sheets will not be processed.
Please ensure all the details are correct, including full names and membership numbers. - Please only scan or email grading sheets for submission.
Please do not submit grading sheets that have been photographed, these will not be accepted.
- Gradings must be paid for to be valid.
Once our membership team have received your grading sheet, they will be in touch to complete the payment of the required grades. - Your dojo profile will not be updated instantly.
There will be a huge number of gradings to process therefore there may be a delay in your profile being updated with your grading information. - Please be patient.
Contacting our membership team to check on the progress of your grading will simply delay the process even further. We kindly ask for your patience whilst we process gradings as quickly as possible. - Certificates will be sent out to members/clubs.
Postal certificates will continue to be issued. We kindly ask for your patience whilst the gradings and certificates are processed.
