The London Area held a Development Event for Juniors and Seniors on 12^th March at the University of East London Sportsdock.

The event was well attended with approximately 220 participants from 36 clubs. The medals were hotly contested with some great performances from the young judoka. The lion’s share of the medal haul was shared equally between Willesden 2011 Judo Club and Hackney JC who both won 20 medals each. Hot on their heels in the hunt for medals were Moberly with 16 medals and Alpha Judo Club with 15.

There was a fantastic atmosphere all day with lots of support from the spectators and coaches. The referees, officials and event staff worked hard to ensure the smooth running of the event on all three mats.

Well done and thank you to all those that supported the event making it a great success.
