Lisa Allan Appointed to IJF Executive Committee
The British Judo Association would like to congratulate Lisa Allan, who has this week been appointed to the International Judo Federation’s (IJF) Executive Committee.
To date, Lisa is the first and only female to attain this prestigious honor and is testament to her hard work and dedication across the world in judo.
Lisa began participating in judo back in Scotland at her local club and moved onto the George Kerr Judo Club in Edinburgh and still regularly competes on the mat. She assisted with Junior Squads alongside Loretta Cussack.
One notable achievement is Lisa’s career saw her named as Judo Manager for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in which she was responsible for the delivery of the judo competitions throughout the Games.
She began working in her current position as Competitions Manager for the IJF back in October 2012.
We wish Lisa every success as part of the Committee.
