Best Result in 2018: Saarbrucken Senior European Cup Silver
The SKK judoka had a terrific 2017 which saw her win her second Grand Prix medal with silver in Cancun as well as a first Grand Slam podium finish as she took home bronze at Ekaterinburg.
Livesey went on to make her World Judo Championships debut in Budapest where she backed up her seeding to finish seventh.
This year she will go in outside the seedings and while she has not thought a huge amount in 2018 Livesey will still be one to watch in Baku.
The 24 year old started the year with seventh at the Tunis Grand Prix. Her next result came in June with silver at the Saarbrucken Senior European before another seventh place came at the Zagreb Grand Prix.
Alice Schlesinger -63kg

Best Result in 2018: European Judo Championships Fifth
It has been an injury and illness hit year so far for the former Baku Grand Slam champion, meaning she has spent less time in competition than she would have liked.
However, Schlesinger showed her world-class ability at the 2018 European Judo Championships where she finished fifth.
Fighting in Israel for the first time since switching to GB, Schlesinger enjoyed great support from the home crowd as she produced some terrific judo, including a dominant win over rival Juul Franssen (NED).
Unfortunately, hansoku-make against Tina Trstenjak (SLO) in the semi-finals meant that Schlesinger could not fight for bronze.
Seventh place at the Budapest Grand Prix followed in August and, like Amy Livesey, she will start outside the top seeds. Schlesinger though is someone that will be a danger to anyone on her day.
Livesey and Schlesinger both fight on Day Four of the 2018 World Judo Championships in Baku on Sunday 23 September.
Sarah Adlington +78kg

Best Result in 2018: Madrid European Open Silver
Adlington is another British judoka to have enjoyed a successful 2017. The Edinburgh fighter finished with three Grand Prix medals last year as she secured podium placings in Cancun, Tashkent and The Hague.
After a copy of early exits at the Paris and Dusseldorf Grand Slams, Adlington got her Tokyo 2020 qualification off to a good start with silver at the Madrid European Open.
A round of 16 exit in Zagreb meant that the British heavyweight picked up more valuable qualification points ahead of the Worlds in Baku, her first appearance at this major championships since 2013.
Adlington will fight on the seventh day of competition in Baku, Wednesday 26 September.
