The lockdown has been tough and unprecedented. But that does not stop the judoka of Great Britain practicing the sport that they love.

Professional or grassroots, all levels of athletes have been bearing the heating of lockdown to don their judogi.

Here are some of our favourites across the last three months:

Harry Catto (10yrs, 4th Mon), Maxwell Catto (6yrs, First Lesson) and Freddie Catto (3yrs, First Lesson) with their dad Julian Catto (1st Kyu, Level 1 Coach) from Thomas Deacon Judo Club, Peterborough have been having a great time during lockdown. The family are trying to keep in shape, and stay judo fit through lockdown to give Julian the chance to compete for his Dan grade at the earliest opportunity post-lockdown. Harry is also attempting to progress to 5th Mon and for Maxwell to start judo (officially) when he turns 7 at the end of summer!

Luckily for GB athletes Ashley McKenzie and Frazer Chamberlain, they live in the same household so they have been able to continue their training outside in the sunshine and comfort of their garden.

Quintin-Reid from Burnley Judo Club has been keeping up with his judo at home, whilst also helping his sister get involved ready to start when she is old enough.

Dylan (13) and Andrew (7) from Triangle Judo Club are keeping up with their judo during lockdown in their home dojo. Dylan had a great start to 2020 taking All Ireland gold and British Schools bronze

Cody and Bradley from Gloucester have not let the lockdown stop them from training. Here they are training together at home.
🛋️💪

House mates and leading British ladies, Nekoda Smythe-Davis and Chelsie Giles live together close to the British Judo Centre of Excellence. With the University in lockdown, they have been taking part in improvised sessions at home to keep their Olympic dreams alive!

We would love to see your home training photos to feature across our social media channels and websites. Send on your images and videos to communications@britishjudo.org.uk
