Have you entered the London British Open?
The London British Open takes place in just under a week’s time and so far there have been just over 300 entries, including from Paralympic silver medallist Sam Ingram, European bronze medallist Nekoda Davis and Pan American Open silver medallist Nathon Burns to name but a few.
Last year’s event saw athletes from 24 countries competing for the title of London British Open champion, across two days of non-stop action and this year we are hoping for the same success.
Don’t miss out on the chance to get involved and ensure you get the chance to be entered below.
Saturday 10th May sees the lightweight athletes in action with the men’s -60kg, -66kg, -73kg and women’s -48kg, -52kg, -57kg.
On Sunday 11th May it’s the turn of the heavyweights with the men’s -81kg, -90kg, -100kg, +100kg and women’s -63kg, -70kg, -78kg, +78kg battling it out for British Open glory.
Ingram who will compete at -90kg said: “I am really looking forward to the event and hopefully it will be successful for myself and all British competitors alike.”
“The event has always run smoothly so it will be good to see some more competitors here on the programme.”
Burns, an -66kg judoka added: “I always like competing at the British Open,”
“Not only is it a tough event for everyone but it’s on home soil so having the British support is brilliant.”
Athletes need to apply before Monday 5 May 2014 via the EJU JUMAS entry system, for which you will require a log-in.
