Grab a bargain break in Glasgow and watch top class judo

Special hotel rates have been arranged for judo fans attending the 2013 European Open for men taking place in Glasgow – an event that will see the country’s top athletes battle against the best judoka in Europe over two exciting days of action.

British Judo have partnered with CSE and The Jurys Inn Glasgow hotel to arrange special rates for spectators between 18 and 20 October for the event taking place on the Saturday and Sunday.

The European Open is British Judo’s flagship event, organised in conjunction with the European Judo Union.

It is expected to be a lively and popular event for British fans, being a rare chance to see elite athletes perform in a top competition on home soil and will be the biggest judo event ever held in Scotland.

The three star Jurys Inn offers a perfect location in the heart of the city, situated just two minutes from Central Station and 15 minutes from Queen Street Station, providing easy access to all the attractions. It is also just over two miles away from the Emirates Arena, where the competition is hosted.

Voted European City of Culture in 1990, Glasgow is a bustling city along the river Clyde, with imposing 19th-century buildings and a well connected bus and metro system which make it easy to explore and a vibrant nightlife, music, theatre and arts scene, for further entertainment after the Judo.

If you just want to relax in the comfort of the hotel, the recently refurbished property provides spacious guest rooms, equipped with the latest mod cons. Tasty meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant, or grab snacks in the Grill Bar and Costa Coffee Bar.
