Alongside the Grand Slam taking place in Russia, GB Judo’s Junior judoka will also take to the mat in La Coruna (ESP) in an action packed weekend!

A total of 19 GB Junior squad members will be competing over Saturday and Sunday with the hope of bringing home medals.

The likes of Tomas Luckus (-90kg) will be hoping to reach the final block for the first time following a seventh placed finish at this event last year. Cailin Calder (-100kg) placed seventh last week at the Kaunas Junior European Cup in Lithuania so has displayed good form in recent weeks as he looks to climb the rankings in the division.

Wesley Greenidge (+100kg) has a silver medal to his name this year following the Coimbra Europea Cup and will be looking to improve his junior World Ranking of 23.

The female contingent features the likes of Molly Harvey (-48kg) and Shelley Ludford (-70kg). Ludford is looking for her first medal at Junior level following a successful Cadet career that saw her pick up a number of medals at continental level.
