British Judo Centre of Excellence

A 28-strong GB team will be in action at the 2017 Veteran European Judo Championships in Zagreb, Croatia from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 June.

Last year British judoka came away with eight medals in total including golds for Sophie Cox (F2 -57kg), Kay Andrews (F6 -78kg) and Terence Watt (M9 -90kg).

Andrews and Watt will be back to defend their titles while the likes of Danny Bidgood, Stan Cantrill, Kyle Perry and Kenneth Jones will be aiming to improve upon their rostrum finishes in 2016.

Competition starts at 0930 local time (0830 UK time) on each day starting with M5, M6, M7, M8, M9, M10, M11 on Day One (Thursday).

Day Two (Friday) will see M3 and M4 categories on the mat while it’s the turn of the F1-F11; M1 and M2 judoka on Day Three (Saturday).

The team competition will follow on the final day on the Championships on Sunday.
