Five things for the judo family to do in Glasgow
While the European Judo Open at the Emirates Arena on Saturday 10 October will undoubtedly be the highlight of the weekend, there is still plenty to do in the City of Glasgow while you’re not watching some of the best British judoka in action.
Below is a list of five things that you (and the family) can do while you’re in Glasgow though this is not an exhaustive list by any means
- If judo isn’t the only sport that takes your fancy why not pop down to Hampden Park and check out the Scottish Football Museum along with a tour of the stadium thrown in for good measure?
- If you have time for shopping the St Enoch Centre is always a good shout with shops and dining for the whole family including H&M, Debenhams, HMV and Nandos
- Fancy yourself a bit of a scientist or want an adrenaline rush? The Glasgow Science Centre and M&D’s Theme Park will both provide plenty of fun for the family to enjoy so head down!
- Want to learn a bit about the history of Glasgow? Well The Tall Ship, Bothwell Castle and the People’s Palace are all well worth a visit.
- If the weather is nice then the Botanic Gardens is another feature of Glasgow that you don’t want to miss. Enjoy some fresh air while you view the stunning greenery of the Gardens.
