Club Welfare Officer Monthly Support Clinics

In the spirit of continuous improvement and a commitment to the well-being of our judo community, we would like to remind all judo clubs of the monthly virtual drop-in sessions facilitated by the British Judo Inclusion, Safeguarding & Welfare Support Team. These sessions serve as a vital platform for clubs to collectively address concerns, review policies, and collaboratively work towards establishing a safe and inclusive culture and will be held on the second Tuesday of every month.

CWO Clinic Survey

2023 saw British Judo launch its monthly drop-in Club Welfare Clinics sessions. These sessions serve as a vital platform for clubs to collectively address concerns, review policies, and collaboratively work towards establishing a safe and inclusive culture. Clubs should also be reminded that from 1st April 2024 it will be mandatory for all clubs with members under the age of 18 years to have a Club Welfare Officer (CWO). This extension, approved by the British Judo Board, will allow clubs more time to recruit a dedicated CWO.

Thank you for your commitment to the welfare of our clubs and members and we look forward to working together to create a safe and inclusive environment for all.
