British Judo to offer judo fan the opportunity to meet the British Judo World Championships team
British Judo are offering a lucky judo fan the opportunity to meet the British World Championships Team when they are announced on Monday 10th August 2015. The team has been selected but will not be formally announced until 10th August when a selected fan will get the opportunity to meet the team.
To get involved and be in with the chance of winning the opportunity to meet the team, anybody wishing to enter is invited to tweet with the hashtag #WeAreGBJudo or post on the British Judo facebook page with a message of support for the team.
The 2015 Judo World Championships will take place from 24-30th August in Astana, Kazakhstan and will see British Judo’s selected players compete for all important Olympic qualification points in the run up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
British Judo’s Head of Marketing, PR and Communications, Tom Hills, said: “This is the first time that a judo fan will have the opportunity to be involved in announcing the selections for the World Championships. The 2015 World Championships is an important competition for our players on their road to the Rio 2016 Olympics and we want the judo community to be a part of that.
“We’ll be selecting our favourite message of support on 31st July and then inviting that person along to our media event on 10th August to get behind the scenes and meet the team.”
