London 2012 Olympians, including silver medallist Gemma Gibbons, are amongst Rio 2016 hopefuls in the line-up for the British Open at The SSE Arena on 11/12 July.

The 2015 British Open will see British athletes battle against competitors from across the world, ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The event offers fantastic value for sports fans, with tickets starting at just £7.50!

Amongst the line-up are several British athletes currently in qualification positions for the Rio 2016 Olympic games, including Ealing Judo Club’s, Nekoda Davis.

Speaking ahead of the competition, Nekoda Davis said: “We’ve never had an event like this in Wembley, it’s exciting because usually I’m on the other side of the world, but here my friends and family can come and watch. I’m really looking forward to the event and I hope we get a good crowd there and the atmosphere is good so we can showcase what judo is really about.”

Over 15 nations will be represented in the competition, with time still to go before the final line up is revealed.

The event will also host a fan zone with opportunities to meet players and autograph signing sessions. It will be the first time the event will be held at The SSE Arena, Wembley, a venue which has played host to two Olympic games.

For those who have never tried the sport there will be opportunities to get stuck in a ‘Throw Yourself Into Judo’ zone.
