British Judo on the look out for Coaching Apprentices
The British Judo Association are on the look out for apprentices who are looking to take their first steps on the coaching ladder.
The British Judo Sport Apprentice will be responsible for assisting the planning, preparation and delivery of high quality sport provision to children and young people in an education and community environment.
All candidates must be comfortable with delivering judo sessions and a variety of different sports and developing into a Judo Coaching Specialist. The apprentice will also have administrative responsibilities such as regular use of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
Specific duties include:
• Preparing session plans
• Shadowing experienced coaches delivering sessions
• Preparing risk assessments for sessions
• Administration tasks associated with preparing for sessions i.e. collating registers and health and safety information on participants
Location: 1 apprentice per area Stockton, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham
Places Available: 4
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (predominately Mon – Fri) do need to be flexible for weekend or evening work.
Weekly Wage: £131.25 with possibility of pay increase
