Following a comprehensive selection process and ratification from the Board of Directors, British Judo are delighted to announce that Ronnie Saez has been appointed Chair of the Association.
Mr Saez has been interim Chair since June 2015 and was confirmed in the role following the appointment process as agreed at the Extraordinary General Meeting in March 2017.
This process saw the role of Chair go out to advert in April 2017 followed by the Nominations Panel reviewing the applications at the end of the month. Selected applicants were then invited to interview for the role at the start of May with the final selection and ratification taking place at the Board meeting later that month.
Mr Saez said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to have been appointed Chair of the British Judo Association. It’s an exciting time for the Association and I’m looking forward to working with our staff, our clubs and our membership to drive forward the 2017 to 2021 British Judo Strategic Plan.”
We’d like to congratulate Mr Saez on his appointment and he will start in the role with immediate effect
