Due to popular demand, British Judo are providing the opportunity for coaches to enrol onto our JudoFit Course as part of their ongoing commitment to CPD and revalidating their coaching licences.

Taking place on Saturday 20 February (1:00pm–5:00pm) via Zoom, you will be guided through how to deliver general and judo-specific exercise to music. Don’t worry if you are not coordinated as there will be options for many types of audiences and classes. The course is free to BJA Coaches and all attendees will receive one coach revalidation for their coaching records for successful completion.

Our tutor for the day will be Claire Shiach McDonald, a successful ex-international judo player, coach, experienced Strength and Conditioning coach and general fitness coach. Claire is keen to share her vast experience from both a judo and a fitness perspective to encourage and inspire activity through judo to music.

A great benefit of JudoFit for many coaches out there is bringing ‘Sport’ and ‘Physical Activity’ together to impact positively on the health and wellbeing of your local communities. Encouraging active lives through British Judo will be high on our agenda going forward as part of the new Sport England strategy released this week. Based on this, providing opportunities for all, especially those in inequality groups, is where we will need your support going forward. This is just one of many ways you as a coach and your club members can contribute.

Places will be limited to 20 people, so if you want to join the course please enrol today!

Although spaces are limited on this first course, we aim to delivery future courses depending on the demand for the initial course. We will set up a waiting list once the course is full which will allow us to gauge how many courses can be run in the future.
