The finalists for the 2024 edition of the British Judo Awards Evening have been selected and the British Judo Association invites the judo community to celebrate the finalists’ success at the Association’s Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday 2nd November 2024 at the University of Warwick Conference Centre.
An amazing evening, celebrating all that is great in British Judo
The annual British Judo Awards are an important event in the British Judo calendar. The Awards honour and celebrate the excellence and dedication within the British Judo community. These awards not only recognise exceptional athletes but also coaches, volunteers and clubs that have contributed significantly to the development, growth and success of judo in the country over the past 12 months.
Following consultation with the Nominations Panel, we are excited to announce this year’s finalists for the 2024 British Judo Awards.
Performance squad-related awards will also be presented on the evening including Cadet, Junior, Senior, Veteran and Kata Athletes of the Year. There will also be awards for Male and Female Para and Adaptive Athletes of the Year, as well as an Inclusion Award.
We were thrilled to receive over 150 nominations for this years awards, and it was incredibly difficult for the panel to select just three finalists across all categories. It really demonstrates the outstanding dedication and commitment of the volunteers involved in the sport of judo across Great Britain. The awards recognise a select few who have made exceptional achievements this year, but our volunteers across the country contribute to making the sport a success in the UK, and to every one of them we are thankful!
Every year, deserving nominees are put forwards for consideration, and the finalists are selected through a meticulous process by British Judo’s Reward and Recognition Panel, where they will be invited to attend the 2024 British Judo Awards, making these awards a true reflection of merit and achievement.
