Kata-Guruma

Step 1

Take hold of Uke’s inner thigh, keeping your back straight, pull Uke’s sleeve.

Step 2

Lift using your legs to hoist Uke on top of your own shoulders.

Step 3

Drop one shoulder to tip Uke off to one side. Lift Uke’s leg with your arm.

Step 4

Keep hold of Uke’s sleeve for support and control as they land.

Ko-Uchi-Gake-Maki-Komi

Step 1

Turn in for Ippon-Seio-Nage.

Step 2

As Uke resists, hook your leg around Uke’s leg.

Step 3

Holding on to their arm drive Uke backwards towards the mat.

Step 4

Maintain holding with your arms to complete the technique.

San-Gaku-Jime

Step 1

Hook your left leg over Uke’s arm and with your other leg place your thigh under Uke’s head.

Step 2

Place your left leg behind your right knee, whilst holding on to Uke’s arm.

Step 3

Moving to your right side, apply pressure with your legs onto the arm pinned to his neck.

Sode-Tsuri-Komi-Goshi

Step 1

Holding both of Uke’s sleeves, pull onto their toes.

Step 2

Keeping your knees bent and head rotated, pull Uke over your hips.

Step 3

Continue to rotate, pulling on the sleeves to complete the throw.
