Hane-Goshi

Step 1

Aim to make contact with your hip and side.

Step 2

Lift with your leg against their inner thigh.

Step 3

Keep your balance as you lift. Rotate by turning your head and upper body.

Step 4

Finish with your throwing leg high. Pull with your arm on their sleeve to get full circular rotation.

Juji-Gatame - Entry from Beneath

Step 1

Start on your back with Uke between your legs. Take hold of the arm you are going to attack.

Step 2

Grab hold of Uke’s leg and use it to swing yourself under Uke’s side.

Step 3

Bring your leg over Uke’s head. Cross your ankles to trap the arm.

Step 4

Push down with your legs to force Uke onto their back and apply Juji-Gatame.

Juji-Gatame - Over the Shoulder Entry

Step 1

Step over Uke placing your leg by Uke’s side.

Step 2

Scoop up the arm your are going to attack and take your weight on your side.

Step 3

Whilst rotating, pull Uke’s legs over your head.

Step 4

At the end of the roll you will be in a position to apply Juji-Gatame.

Morote-Eri-Seoi-Nage

Step 1

Take hold of the inside collar with both hands.

Step 2

Turn in pulling Uke’s lapel taught and placing your right elbow under Uke’s arm.

Step 3

Lift by straightening your legs.

Step 4

To finish the throw, rotate your body, turning your head.
