Arm Roll - from behind Uke

Step 1

On all fours, Uke reaches over with one arm.

Step 2

Wrap your arm around Uke’s, above the elbow.

Step 3

Roll whilst keeping Uke pinned to your back.

Step 4

Catch Uke’s leg with your other arm and finish in hold.

Arm Roll - from in front Uke

Step 1

From the front, Uke reaches in with one arm.

Step 2

Wrap your arm above Uke’s elbow, clamp to your body and rotate.

Step 3

Control the body as you rotate.

Step 4

Complete the arm roll with a hold.

Ippon-Seoi-Nage into Ko-Uchi-Gari

Step 1

Turn in for Ippon-Seoi-Nage.

Step 2

As Uke resists, hook your leg around Uke’s leg.

Step 3

Holding on to their arm sweep Uke’s leg.

Step 4

Maintain holding with your arms to complete the technique.

O-Soto-Gari

Step 1

Step forward to break Uke’s balance.

Step 2

Swing your right leg behind Uke’s right leg.

Step 3

Sweep your leg backwards maintaining contact with Uke’s leg.

Step 4

Control Uke as they fall to the mat.

Seoi-Otoshi

Step 1

Pull Uke onto their toes, let go of your lapel grip and swing your arm under Uke’s bicep.

Step 2

Bend your right knee to pull Uke forwards.

Step 3

Drop down onto one knee.

Step 4

Rotate your body, driving Uke into the mat.
