GB team set for European University Games

19 GB university students have been selected to compete at the European University Games in Zagreb, Croatia from the 21st – 23rd July.

Tatum Keen (University of the West of England) leads the women’s team. The -52kg fighter finished 5th at last year’s European Junior Championships before starting the year with a bronze medal at the Riga European Cup.

Roxanne Proctor (University of Bath) recently finished 5th at the Birmingham Junior European Cup. She will be joined in the -63kg category by Jade Savory (University of Wolverhampton).

Commonwealth Games representative for Team Wales Ashleigh Barnikel (Cardiff Met University) is joined by Mary Tomblin (Durham University) in the -48kg category.

Alana Taylor (Bournemouth University) will fight in the -57kg category whilst Eve Jackson (Teesside University) has been selected for the -70kg.

Grace-Elizabeth Tolley (University of Wolverhampton) and Amy Riddlesdell (University of Birmingham) will both compete in the -78kgs whilst in the +78kg category, Lucy Williams (Anglia Ruskin University) has been selected.

For the men, Tomas Freitas (Imperial College London) will compete in the -60kgs whilst in the -73kgs Cameron Charles (University of Bath) and Raman Van Wee (University of Oxford) have been selected.

Liam Doody (Teesside University) and Fraser Clark (Glasgow Caledonian University) compete in the -81kgs whilst Cameron Reid-Thomas (Dundee University) and Nathan O’Sullivan (University of Nottingham) fight in the -90kgs.

In the -100kg category Jakov Mlinarevic (University of Oxford) and Julian Homann (University of Cambridge) have been selected.
