A new book titled ‘Don Werner, Our Sensei’ is set to be published in August. The book will tell the story of British Judo legend, Don Werner. Don passed away in January 2014 having coached at Pinewood Judo Club for over six decades, coaching over 290 national champions and four Olympians.

Two of these Olympians, Karen Roberts and Nicola Fairbrother MBE, have co-authored the book, which is currently available for Pre-Order.

Published by Pinewood Judo Club, written by Karen Roberts and Nicola Fairbrother, distribution will start in August.

The cost of the book is £11. Once costs to publish the book are recovered all profits will go directly to the club.
