Members urged to be vigilant following information breach
British Judo has discovered that certain British Judo membership information has been compromised in connection with an illegal intrusion into our systems. The intrusion has potentially affected a small and limited number of British Judo members.
In response to the illegal intrusion we have:
- Temporarily shut down the online membership renewal and application system
- Contacted the Police, who are currently investigating the case
- Appointed a Forensic Investigator who is investigating the intrusion on our behalf
All British Judo members who have been potentially affected by this information breach will be contacted directly. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and would like to assure members that we are taking appropriate action to identify the perpetrator of the breach.
Although we are still investigating the breach, we are aware that an unauthorised person has illegally gained access to a small and limited number of British Judo members’ personal details, despite the system being PCI compliant.
British Judo would like to ask members to remain vigilant and to monitor your credit cards, account statements and similar reports. Please report any unauthorised or suspicious activity and contact your credit or debit card supplier with any enquiries.
We would like to ask that anybody wishing to process their membership, contacts the British Judo membership team on 01509 631670.
Update 20/03/2015 14:18pm:
We are still investigating the illegal intrusion into our system and will update members as soon as more information is known. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and stress caused and would urge any members who see any unauthorised or suspicious activity on their accounts or credit cards to contacts their credit or debit card supplier.

We are taking this issue extremely seriously and are working with the authorities to determine the perpetrator of the breach. Again, we would like to apologise for any inconvenience or stress this may have caused.
