British Judo athletes look forward to Tunis African Open

British Judo athletes are looking forward to making a great start to the competition year and securing points on the board for Rio at the 2015 Tunis African Open, to be held in Tunisia from 17-18 January 2015.

Following a successful training camp in Mittersill, Olympic silver medallist Gemma Gibbons (-78kg) of Metro Judo Club, will be back in action looking for points for Rio, along with fellow Commonwealth medallists Kelly Edwards (-52kg) of Wrekin Star/Edinburgh and Nekoda Davis (-57kg) of Ealing.

The event showcases two sets of siblings; as Commonwealth gold medallist Megan Fletcher (-70kg) and her brother Ben Fletcher (-100kg) will both be competing; as will sisters Bekky (-57kg) and Amy Livesey (-63kg) both of S.K.K.

The talent-laden team will also be joined by 2014 Junior World silver medallist, Ebony Drysdale-Daley (-70kg), and talented Tokyo 2020 hopefuls Sam Hall (-60kg) of Ryecroft of Pinewood/Team Bath and Lucy Renshall (-63kg) who also train at the National Centre of Excellence in Walsall.

British Judo wishes the selected players every success.
