Red Carpet BAFTA Screening to celebrate Trevor Leggett’s centenary

‘A Man of the Ways’, A new documentary short celebrating Trevor Leggett, probably the most influential Englishman in the history of Judo, screens at BAFTA Piccadilly at 12:30pm on Saturday 21st June.

Trevor Leggett, Judo Legend, MI6 operative and wartime captive of the Japanese, assumed prominence in BBC radio and became an inspiration to countless students of Yoga and Zen through his avid writing and personal spirituality. His centenary marks a milestone for his followers and an opportunity to extend his message to the next generation.

Leila Birch, (DreamWorks’ Mr. Peabody & Sherman, EastEnders, Dead Space 2, inFAMOUS: Second Son), produced the documentary. Leila is collaborating once more with Director-Doctor-Composer-Mother Diana Birch and the team of charity based Dial-Media following the success of ‘Asylum’ (Los Angeles International Film Festival; LA Femme Film Festival; Park City Music in Film).

The Trevor Leggett Centenary event is focussed around the premiere of ‘A Man of the Ways’. The event is sponsored by the Trevor Leggett Adhyatma Yoga Trust set up after Trevor’s death with the express purpose of publicising his work including over 30 books on Judo, Shogi, Zen, Yoga, translations from Japanese and Sanskrit texts. ‘Jewels from the Indra Net’ unpublished in his life time will be launched at the centenary event as will an audio book of ‘Dragon Mask’.
