Tickets Now On Sale 2013 Glasgow European Open for Men Early bird bookings receive a free event programme

Tickets are now on sale for the UK’s biggest judo event of the year – the European Open taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, where Great Britain’s top male judoka, including London 2012 Olympians, will take to the tatami against some of Europe’s top athletes.

The European Open will be the biggest judo event ever to be hosted in Scotland and will take place at the brand-new Emirates Arena – a 2014 Commonwealth Games venue and also the home of the 2015 European Judo Championships.

Olympian Euan Burton, one of Scotland’s finest male judoka said: “The Glasgow European Open is going to be a fantastic event for Glasgow, for Scotland and for the whole of British Judo.

“It will give the people of Glasgow and Scotland the chance to experience elite level judo on their doorsteps less than a year out from the Commonwealth Games. For Scottish judoka involved it will be an invaluable experience with the athletes getting a chance to experience a home crowd similar to the one they will have for the Games in 2014.

“For British Judo it will offer a chance to showcase its finest male judoka and to begin to build a British judo journey in Glasgow that will include next year’s Commonwealth Games and the European Championships in 2015.”

Competitions will take place across two action-packed days and with support from the home crowd, the atmosphere is sure to be electric.

“All in all it will be an event to remember and I encourage all Scottish judo fans and lovers of sport to make sure that they get their tickets and get along to show what Scottish support is all about,” added Euan.
