SKK Judo Club head coach Peter Blood has been named as a finalist in the Performance Development Coach of the Year category at the UK Coaching Awards 2012: Supported by Gillette.

 

As well as improving skills, Peter’s coaching also places an emphasis on developing the person.

 

Peter has raised a great deal of money to allow players to enjoy international competition and training camps, allowing them to gain valuable experience for the future – and travels the length and breadth of the country at his own expense to coach the players in competition mat side. On top of this Peter runs the club from administration to cleaning the dojo and organising all travel arrangements/accommodation.

 

The Awards take place at the Lancaster, London in a glittering ceremony on the evening of 20 November.
