The following memo has been released to clarify the junior age group:

The International Junior Age group until 31^st December 2012 is identified for athletes born in 1993-1997

The International Junior Age group from 1^st January to 31^st December 2013 is identified for athletes born in 1994-1998

At this time there is no information from the EJU or IJF to indicate a change in this despite the change in the cadet age group (to include 1996 in 2013).

Therefore, the October event described as ‘2012 British Championships for Precadet, Cadet and Juniors’, in which the Junior event was only 1993-95 is not included on the GB Junior ranking list. As we are clearly in a transition process, this event is still utilised by Home Countries in their identification process
