British Judo Olympic and Paralympic National Training Centre
Centrally situated in the Midlands at the University of Wolverhampton, Walsall Campus, it provides some of Great Britain’s most talented Junior, Paralympic and Olympic judoka with a world-class fully integrated performance environment including a state-of-the-art dojo, strength and conditioning, sports science, sports medicine, educational opportunities and accommodation all on one site.
Some of the best judo coaches in the country are based at the centre including the Performance Director, Elite Performance Coaches and a World-Class Sports Science and Medicine Team. This is complimented by regular sessions from guest coaches, ensuring that both fighters and coaches are constantly learning and developing.
Cutting edge sports science and sports medicine services provide support, testing and monitoring for fighters. Each individual athlete benefits from a strength and conditioning and medical screening process, allow the coaching team to create and implement an individual periodised training programme to enable the fighter to reach their full potential.
