Peter Blewett Elected England Representative Director

After a month long vote, Peter Blewett has been elected to the Board of Directors of the British Judo Association.

Running along side Emma Delaney, Neil Fletcher and Harold D Holt, Peter received the most votes and as a result will take up a seat on the board as the England Area Representative.

The Board of Directors has the responsibility for setting the direction, establishing policy and overseeing the activities of judo clubs across Great Britain.

The election was carried out by independent electoral organisation, UK Engage who ran the election on behalf of the BJA.

The election for the position is a result of our strategic Governance Implementation Plan to ensure that the Association becomes Code Compliant with UK Sport’s Code of Sports Governance.

Please take the time to read our Governance Review Implementation Plan for a full action plan. We will continue to update you of the progress against the actions over the coming months.
