Bid For Sally Conway’s Signed Rio 2016 GB Kit and Help Esme Hodges Walk Again

Hi, my name is Esme but everyone calls me Ezzy. This is my story and why I need your help…

The Cerabral Palsy affect Ezzy’s legs so she can not walk unaided and doesn’t have full use of her left arm & hand.

Ezzy was born 11 weeks early weighing just 3lb. After being in NICU for 6 weeks Ezzy finally came home still a tiny 4lb. After Ezzy didnt reach the normal milestones her parents started to worry as they were starting to think it was more then just being premature.

After months and months of hospital & physio appointments, they were finally given the news; Esme was suffering with a form of Cerebral Palsy called Spastic Diplegia.

Historically known as Little’s Disease, it is a form of cerebral palsy (CP) that is a chronic neuro-muscular condition of hypertonia and spasticity — manifested as an especially high and constant “tightness” or “stiffness” — in the muscles of the lower extremities of the human body.

When Ezzy grows she faces a lifetime with pain and limited movement resulting in her having to use a wheelchair.

There is hope however! Her parents have fundraised over £80,000 for her to have life-changing surgery in the USA. As part of their fundraising efforts, Sally Conway, Rio Olympics Judo Bronze Medalist has kindly donated some signed GB kit from her time at the Olympics to be auctioned off to help with the fundraising efforts.

If you are interested in bidding for the kit, please contact ezzyswishtowalk@gmail.com to help Ezzy get to America and receive the help that she needs. Serious bidders only though please.
