Poland plays host to the World Veteran Championships this week as 21 GB Judoka compete in Krakow.

The action got underway this morning with GB Judo picking up its first medal as 1984 Olympian Nicholas Kokotaylo claimed silver.

Men

Kyle Perry won bronze at the 2021 World Veteran Championships in Lisbon. Krakow will be Perry’s 5^thappearance on the World Veteran stage. Also picking up bronze in 2021 was Bogdan Lica who returns for his second World Veteran Championships.

Colin Francis won silver at the 2019 World Veteran Championships in Marrakech and will compete at his 4th World Veteran Championships in Krakow.

Giovanny Antalika was bronze medallist at the 2018 European Veteran Championships and made his World Veteran Championship debut in 2019.

Whilst John Thacker competes at his 4^th World Veteran Championships, Kevin Eve, Roy Walker, Ashley Parrette and Joseph Williams will compete at their second World Veteran Championships.

Nicholas Brace, Brian Brown, Adrian Besly, Kevin Kinney, Mendes Azevedo, William Baker and Terry Dixon all make their World Veteran Championship debuts.

Women

In 2018 Joyce Malley was crowned European Champion. Malley competes at her 4^th World Veteran Championships in Krakow. Samantha Chraniuk claimed silver at the European Championships in 2018 and now competes at her third World Veteran Championships.

Danielle Batt makes her World Veteran Championship debut whilst Natasha Glassford competes at her third World Veteran Championships.
